The Ministry of Tourism and International Transport will soon be conducting a study on the economic contribution of small watersports operators to the tourism sector and the wider economy.

Systems Consulting Limited has been commissioned by the Ministry to conduct research among key stakeholders in this sub-sector, as well as the wider tourism sector. Along with face-to-face interviews, it is planned that focus group studies will also be conducted for users, both local and visitor, of the services of small watersports operators.

The data collection stage is expected to commence later this month and therefore stakeholders and small businesses in the sub-sector, as well as locals and visitors, are asked to cooperate wherever possible.

For further information, persons may call Chief Research Officer (ag) at the Ministry, Gale Yearwood, at 535-7500, 535-7516, or email yearwoodg@tourism.gov.bb.
