Minister of Tourism, Richard Sealy, and representatives from that Ministry will be ???all ears’ this coming Wednesday evening, when members of the public share their views on the future of the tourism industry.

The town hall meeting, the first for the year, will come off at Solidarity House, and will focus on the development of a Tourism White Paper for the sector.

Chief Research Officer at the Ministry, Gale Yearwood, said that she hoped that the interest shown at the last meeting in December would continue into the New Year.

"We are hoping that we get a good turnout of Barbadians and visitors to give their views on tourism and where they think it should go.?? We are relying on the people out there who actually interact with visitors to comment, we want them to tell us their ideas.??

From our visitors, they are the ones using the tourism product, so we want them to tell us about what we are doing right, our shortcomings, what changes they have seen – are they for the better or the worse? We want people to come out and be honest with their comments on tourism development," she emphasised.

A special invitation has been extended to persons with disabilities, and a sign language interpreter will also be on hand to assist the hearing impaired.?? Those who work in the tourism industry are especially asked to participate in the dialogue.

??The meeting will be held at Solidarity House, Harmony Hall, St. Michael, on Wednesday, January 12, starting at 7:00 p.m.
