Residents of Bourne’s Land and Newton, Christ Church, will get an opportunity later this month to learn more about the development of the new tourism attraction, "Freedom Footprints: The Barbados Story" Trail and Tour.??

The new dates for the postponed town hall meetings for residents of these districts are Thursday, September 23, for persons in the Bourne’s Land area, and Thursday, September 30, for those living in the vicinity of the Newton Slave Burial Site.??

The September 23 meeting will be held at the St. Christopher Resource Centre, and the venue for September 30 is The Lodge Road Wesleyan Holiness Church. Both meetings will commence at 7:00 and conclude by 9:00 p.m.

"Freedom Footprints: The Barbados Story" Trail and Tour is a new concept which is designed to provide tourists and locals with the opportunity to visit a number of sites in communities across Barbados, that speak to the legacy of some 200 years of slavery.??gapplewhaite@barbados.gov.bb
