The Winston Scott Environmental Department, in collaboration with the Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) will host a town hall meeting at Cemetery Area, Edward Crawford’s Bar in Greenfield, St. Michael.
The topic for discussion is a New Garbage Collection Route in Greenfield and the removal of the skip in Lower Gills Road.?? According to an official of the SSA, since there was previously no house-to-house garbage collection in the area, residents resorted to dumping in the skip at Gills Road. Consequently the reinstatement of the small garbage collection truck is being considered for the zone. ???No Dumping’ signs have also been posted by the SSA.
The meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 26, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Representatives from SSA and the Environmental Health Department will address residents of the area.
