Cultural industries practitioners will soon have another opportunity to discuss the draft Cultural Industries Development Bill.

The Barbados Coalition of Service Industries Inc. (BCSI) will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, March 13, at the Combermere School Hall, Waterford, St. Michael, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. A panel of distinguished guests from academia, the private sector and policy makers will be on hand to answer any queries.

This follow-up consultation will facilitate discussion among those involved in the creative and cultural industries, including film, music, dance, photography, craft and visual, fine and literary arts, as well as members of the public.

BCSI’s mandate is to promote the development of the service sector and it is felt that the cultural industries sector has great potential for income generation, job creation and export earnings, while encouraging social inclusion, cultural diversity and human development.
