In an effort to sensitize members of the public and key stakeholders about the ban on petro-based single use plastics, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy will host two town hall meetings this month.

The first of these meetings will take place on Wednesday, April 17, at the Graydon Sealy Secondary School, Paddock Road, St. Michael.  Vendors, retailers and the general public are invited to come out and have their questions addressed by the panel, which will be led by Minister Kirk Humphrey.

On Wednesday, April 24, Mr. Humphrey and the panel will again engage in further discussions with the public at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael. This session is expected to be streamed live via the Barbados Government Information Service’s Facebook page.

Both sessions will begin at 6:30 p.m.
