The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation will soon be implementing a Tracer Study Survey in secondary schools and select tertiary institutions on the island.

Regional consulting firm, Kairi Consultants Ltd., has been selected to conduct the survey, which will commence this month.

However, prior to full implementation of the survey, a press conference will be held to launch the study and provide greater visibility and awareness of the initiative.

It will be hosted at Infinity on the Beach, St. Lawrence Gap, Christ Church, tomorrow Thursday, June 4, at 1:00 p.m.??Acting Programme Director of the Programme Coordinating Unit, Junior Burgess, will deliver remarks at the event.

It will also be addressed by Senior Education Officer in Planning, Research and International Relations, Dr. Roderick Rudder, and Chairman of Kairi Consultants Ltd., Dr. Ralph Henry.

The survey instrument was designed by consultant Dr. Dwayne Devonish. The design and execution of the survey falls under component III of Government???s Skills For the Future Programme that is being funded by the Inter-American Development Bank.

The survey will target approximately 1000 student from secondary schools as well as the Barbados Community College, the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic and the Barbados Vocational Training Board.
