Members of the public are reminded that a number of traffic changes will be in effect during the hosting of Grand Kadooment on Monday, August 4.

Costume bands will parade from the National Stadium and travel along the route towards the Spring Garden Highway, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on that day.

As a result, Station Hill Road, Bank Hall Cross Road, Bank Hall Main Road, Eagle Hall Road, Black Rock Road, Fontabelle Road, Redman Road, Holborn Circle, Princess Alice Highway, President Kennedy Drive, Prescod Boulevard and the Spring Garden Highway, St. Michael, will be closed to all vehicular traffic between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Similar rules will apply at Codrington Road, from its junction with Waterford Road to its junction with Waterford Bottom Road, St. Michael.

In addition, from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., the Spring Garden Highway, from its junction with Holborn Circle, to its junction with Black Rock Road, will be closed to all vehicular traffic, except those being used in the Grand Kadooment parade.

No parking or waiting will be allowed along the route between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Similar rules apply at Stadium Road, St. Michael, between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Parking or waiting will also be prohibited along the emergency route, which runs from the National Stadium and proceeds along Bank Hall, Country Road, Roebuck Street, Halls Road and Martindale???s Road, St. Michael.

Alternatively, motorists are asked to note that parking will be allowed at the National Stadium, the Grounds of the Netball Stadium, Village Gate and the Combermere School. The latter is paid parking.

Motorists are encouraged to comply with the directions of police officers in uniform.
