Spring Garden Highway from its junction with Brighton Road, Exmouth/Deacons and Holborn and Spring Garden junction will be closed to vehicular traffic tomorrow, Saturday, June 29, from 2:30 to 11:00 p.m.

This is to facilitate the renaming ceremony of the Spring Garden Highway to the “Mighty Grynner Highway”, being hosted by the Ministry of Creative Economy, Culture and Sports, in conjunction with the Ministry of Transport and Works, the Prime Minister’s Office and the National Cultural Foundation.

During these hours, no parking will be allowed on the following roads: Spring Garden Highway, Brighton Road, Brighton Beach Road, Exmouth Road, Deacon’s Road and President Kennedy Drive.

However, parking for VIPs will be allowed at the HMBS Pelican, while the general public may park on Brandons Beach area and Deacons Parking area opposite Rascals Bar.  Supply vehicles will use the parking area of the Vendor’s Mall, while staff and performers will use the Dacosta Manning compound.

In addition, no vehicles will be allowed to park or remain stationary along the emergency route, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers.
