Barbados will host a global and cultural ceremony on World Environment Day on Thursday, June 5, in Independence Square, The City.

As a result, traffic will be diverted around Independence Square between of 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. on the day, in an effort to reduce emissions around the area.

This is in keeping with the focus for the global celebrations to address climate change impacts.

Parking will be provided for Ministers and members of the diplomatic corps at Parliament Building, while invited guests are asked to park at Queen???s Park or the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc.???s car park.

Motorists are asked to comply with uniformed personnel from the Royal Barbados Police Force during that time.??Any inconvenience this may cause is regretted.
