There will be a number of traffic regulations in place this Saturday, November 29, to facilitate the Independence Gala and Ceremonial Parade which will be held at the Garrison Savannah.

From 6:00 p.m. no parking will be allowed around the Garrison Savannah. Traffic will be restricted to the right in a clockwise direction, as on normal race days. In addition, the roadway east of the

Main Guard must be kept clear of vehicular traffic.
Vehicles travelling along Bush Hill must turn left and keep along the Garrison on the right, while traffic approaching from Dayrells Road must turn left at Garrison Road junction.

Public service vehicles working their normal route will not be affected by the changes in traffic regulations.

With respect to parking, public parking will be allowed at the Caribbean Examinations Council Headquarters. There will also be a free park and ride system from 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, to 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 30.

The service will be available at the BTI car park, Bay Street; the Heliport, Lower Wharf Road; the Garfield Sobers Complex, Wildey; and the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill.
There will be uniformed police officers on hand to direct all traffic and drivers are asked to comply with their instructions.
