In order to ensure the safety and health of patrons at this year’s Crop Over festival, the Warrens Polyclinic will be hosting a workshop on food-handling and food safety for operators, concessionaires and food handlers tomorrow, Thursday, July 15.

The session will be held in the polyclinic’s conference room at Warrens, St. Michael from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.??

A key aim is to update this category of persons on the correct procedures for handling food and drink and to outline required hygiene practices for preparing and serving meals to patrons. Environmental health officers will also be on hand to give demonstrations.??

The training targets vendors and other persons involved in Crop Over activities at the National Stadium and its environs, including Warrens, Green Hill, Codrington Road, Spooners Hill, Bank Hall Cross Road, Bush Hall and Eagle Hall.
