The Barbados Vocational Training Board (BVTB) is offering three new courses for its students this year.

These are Cosmetology, which will be taught at the C. Lomer Alleyne Skills Centre, Sayes Court, Christ Church; the Care of the Elderly, at the All Saints Centre in St. Peter; and Autotronics, at the St. Lukes Centre in St. George.

The Cosmetology course will be offered under the Apprenticeship Programme which runs for a period of three years.

It will be a mixture of classroom instruction and on-the-job practice. The first year will be in-class, while the remaining two years will be mainly practical instruction.

The courses are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, February 02, 2010.

Interested persons may apply at any of the aforementioned centres or at the Barbados Vocational Training Board’s headquarters at Culloden Road, St. Michael.

Further information and application forms may also be accessed at the board’s new website www.bvtb.gov.bb. askeete@barbados.gov.bb
