The United Kingdom (UK) Ministry of Defence will deliver a five-day training course next week entitled: Counter Terrorism: Psychology – The Human Factor.
It will be held from Monday, November 5, to Friday, November 9, at the Hodgson Hall Conference Centre, St Ann’s Fort, The Garrison.
Colonel (Rtd), Ronnie McCourt, a member of the directing staff at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, will be the facilitator. The course is experiential in nature and focuses on providing participants with an understanding of the psychological drivers which come into play in terrorists’ operations.
Participants will be drawn from the Barbados Defence Force, The Royal Barbados Police Force, the Prime Minister’s Office, Barbados Immigration Department, the Caribbean Implementing Agency for Crime & Security, Regional Security System and the St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force.
