The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security will continue its training sessions for farmers on Goat Production this Thursday, September 27.

The workshop will be held in the CARDI building located at the Ministry, Graeme Hall, Christ Church, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

According to Officer-in-Charge of Extensions, Barney Callender, the objective of the session is to provide information on goat farming.

He explained that the workshop will cover areas such as the performance of milking goats, nutrition and production, general husbandry of goats, goat cheese production and Boer goats. Participants will also receive first-hand knowledge from farmer Kevin Marshall.

Farmers, as well as other persons interested in goat production, are invited to attend.
