The Christ Church South Constituency Council is staging a Youth Development Training Workshop and Career Showcase for young persons, and unemployed men and women.
The two-day initiative will take place next Wednesday, December 8 and Thursday, December 9 in the car park near Grannies in Oistins, Christ Church, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The workshop will cover topics such as Self-esteem Building, Conflict Resolution, Small Business Management and Job Application Skills. Participants will also be informed about the Welfare to Work programme and Skills Training. Additionally, there will be practical demonstrations on soap, candle and jewellery making.
Representatives from a range of institutions and organizations, including the Barbados Community College, Community Development Department, Royal Barbados Police Force, Ministry of Agriculture, Barbados Vocational Training Board and Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic, will also be on hand to discuss employment opportunities with attendees.
