The Tourism-in-De Gully series will continue this Saturday, March 27, with a trek through the Claybury-Redland Gully in St. John.

Barbadians and visitors alike are invited to be part of this guided hike, which is expected to run from 8:30 until 11:00 a.m. There will also be presentations by Geologist, Leslie Barker and Horticulturalist, Dr. John Webster.

Patrons will also be given the opportunity to learn the names of plants and their uses; make a marble cricket ball and engage in a short game of cricket. There will be entertainment from a number of cultural artistes, including De Pomposetters Tuk Band, Johnny Koieman, John "Birdman" Gibbons and Wilson Hill Folk Group. Produce will also be on sale at the Redland Farmers Market.

Tourism-in-De Gully is a collaborative effort on the part of the Ministries of Tourism and the Environment.?? Its key objective is to encourage environmental awareness, while boosting the tourism product of Barbados.??

The Ministry of Tourism is urging persons interested in the Claybury-Redland Gully walk to assemble at the Pride of Wilson Hill Club House at 8:00 a.m. A shuttle service will be provided to take them to the gully and back, following the walk. Refreshments will be on sale at the Pride of Wilson Hill Club House.
