On behalf of the Officers and members of the Barbados Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, I would like to offer condolences to Mrs. Mara Thompson and family as well as the Government and people of Barbados on the passing of our Prime Minister, the Honourable David John Howard Thompson.
Mr. Thompson has always understood the importance of sport in building community spirit and indeed a stronger, proud nation. As an Association we have benefitted from Government’s support and have done our utmost to be worthy of the investment made in our endeavours.
As a fellow Combermerian, I was fortunate to witness his intellectual development and the impressive presence he had even as a schoolboy. Barbados has been fortunate to share in his special life and achievements.
May he rest in peace.
