As part of celebrations to mark the 80th birthday of noted Barbadian poet Edward ???Kamau’ Brathwaite, the public is being invited to a ???meet and greet’ session with artists who are taking part in ???Tribute to Kamau’, an exhibition presently under way at the Queen’s Park Gallery.

The session, coordinated by the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) National Art Gallery Committee (NAGC), will be held this Sunday, May 23, starting at 4:30 p.m.

It will be an opportunity for individuals and art enthusiasts to dialogue with the artists about their work.

The following Sunday, May 30, there will be read-in at Queen’s Park Gallery with some of Barbados’ leading writers and performers reading excerpts from Kamau’s work.

Barbadians, particularly lovers of poetry, are invited to bring their favourite work from Kamau and read it for the session.

???Tribute to Kamau’ is an exhibition by some of this country’s leading artists and runs until June 26.

It is part of the Heritage Month celebrations of the NCF and the NAGC.
