In addition to the project at Greens, St. George, the National Housing Corporation (NHC) has already begun work for the construction of 64 houses at another St. George location, under its Housing Every Last Person (HELP) Programme.

The news came today from an official at the Corporation, who said that “work on houses at Constant, St. George has started”. He added: “We are looking at completion by the latter part of the first quarter, next year.”

The two-bedroom houses will be built on approximately 3,000 to 4,000 square feet of land each, with a floor space of 569 square feet.

The aim of this NHC venture is to house every last person in the lower income range, in order to meet the demand for housing, in that bracket of society.
