The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) has welcomed two members to its team – Tenisha Holder and Jameela Hollingsworth. Both ladies commenced their duties at the BTMI on October 14.

Ms. Holder is the new Marketing Manager, while Ms. Hollingsworth took on the role of Manager, Human Resources.

As the new Marketing Manager, Ms. Holder hit the ground running as she dived right into the execution phase of the recently concluded 10th Barbados Food & Rum Festival.

She is a creative problem solver and expert in market research, brand development and event planning and execution. Therefore, her first task was right up her alley.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies with a specialization in Marketing, Ms. Holder mentioned that she looked forward to doing what she loved the most on a daily basis and she was inspired to join the team as she wanted an opportunity to serve her home through a field she is passionate about.

Now being a part of the BTMI family, she mentioned: “I’m extremely excited to be part of a team that lives and breathes tourism in the way that the BTMI does.  I’ve joined a group that is equally excited to showcase the best of Barbados and continue to position the brand in a way that contributes to growth in the sector.  My experience, thus far, can most accurately be described as eventful, immersive and complete with projects which both match my expertise and contribute significantly to my professional and personal development.  I continue to look forward to my future here at the BTMI.”

Ms. Hollingsworth also hit the ground running as she transferred from the financial industry into tourism. She is known for her vibrant personality and passion for people.  She also has extensive experience in recruitment, training and mentoring.
