When the Vector Control Unit continues its programme to rid the island of the dreaded Aedes Aegypti mosquito, it will be marked by two days of fogging in Christ Church.

The exercise starts on Monday, October 26, in the Christ Church districts of Maxwell Main Road, Moravian Gap, Laynes Road, Hilton Road, Hythe Gardens, Fairholme Gardens, Maxwell Gardens, Welches, Cane Vale, Ashby Land, Oistins, Maxwell Hill and the environs.

The following day, Tuesday, October 27, the team will journey to St. John where Clifton Hall Tenantry, Church View, New Castle, Martins Bay, St. Margaret, Zoars, Glenournie, Foster Hall, and surroundings will be sprayed.

On Wednesday, October 28, emphasis will be placed on St. George. The areas to be sprayed are: Eastlyn, Bulkley Terrace, Herman Clarke Road, Cane Hill, Connell Road, Good Intent, Farm Road, Crawford Road, Toronto Road, Lowe’s Road, Ruth King Road, Sargeant Road, Blenman Road, Mount Hill, Waverley Cot, Ellerton Housing Area, Ellerton Development, Ellerton, Niles Road and their environs.

A return to Christ Church on Thursday, October 29 will see fogging at Yorkshire, Dayrells Hill, Boarded Hall Tenantry, Boarded Hall, Frere Pilgrim, Lower Greys, Edey Village, Cox Road and surrounding areas.

Fogging concludes on Friday, October 30 in areas bordering St. Michael and St. Thomas, namely Bibby’s Lane with avenues, Exchange, Lear Tenantry, Proute, Mount Wilton, Clifton Hall, Walkspring and their environs.

All fogging runs from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and householders are asked to assist by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate.

Persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.?? Pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street.

Parents are instructed to prohibit children from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine.
