The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Wellness, will be facilitating two more Entry and Safety Protocols Sensitisation Workshops on Thursday, May 13, and Friday, May 14.

The workshops which will be held at the Hilton Barbados Resort, Needham’s Point, St. Michael, will offer stakeholders the opportunity to gain first-hand information on the new entry and safety protocols for the tourism industry.

There will be two sessions each day, with the first running from 9:00 a.m. until noon, and the second from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

On Thursday, the morning session will focus on housekeeping, gardening, and maintenance, as well as information for pool attendants, laundry attendants, public facility cleaners, spa staff and all ancillary staff. The afternoon session will target transport providers.

The morning session on Friday caters to water sports, jet ski and leisure craft operators, lifeguards, dive shops and beach vendors.

Friday afternoon will be a refresher session for transport providers via zoom, and the link will be sent directly to those transport providers who have already been issued with their certification stickers.

There will be no pre-registration for these workshops. Attendance will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
