Efforts at providing technical and vocational training in an easily accessible and central location on the island will soon become a reality.
This will come to fruition when the Urban Development Commission (UDC) and the Barbados Vocational Training Board (BVTB) open a new training centre at Deacons Farm, St. Michael, this Friday, June 8.
Aptly named, the Deacons Development Facility and BVTB Deacons Training Centre, the opening ceremony is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.??
Minister of Labour and Social Security, Dr. Esther Byer Suckoo, will deliver the remarks. A plaque will be unveiled, followed by a tour of the facility.
