Violence and its impact on victims will come into sharp focus, when the Urban Development Commission (UDC) holds a half-day seminar to discuss the various issues on this subject.

Under the theme Violence as a Concept: Individual, Family and Community, the workshop takes place on Thursday, June 28, at the UDC’s Bridge Street, St. Michael headquarters, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

During the seminar, participants will benefit from an information exchange on the issues that would allow practitioners to sharpen their skills and provide the necessary interventions needed for victims of violence.

Among the topics to be discussed are Individual Violence, Gun Violence and Domestic Violence.

After the presentations, there will be a panel discussion on violence and how it may be addressed.

Further information on the seminar may be obtained by contacting the UDC’s Assistant Director of Human Resource Development and Administration, Georgia Broomes, at 417-1421.
