United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, received a first-hand account of the design and layout of the Hastings Rocks today, during a tour of the area, ahead of the official opening of the 36th Regular Meeting of the CARICOM Heads of Government Conference.

The Secretary-General was accompanied by Acting Director of the Drainage Division, Antonio Rowe, who was the Project Manager of Hastings Rocks when it was being constructed.

Mr. Ban also took a stroll on the nearby Richard Haynes Boardwalk before leaving to make other stops on his busy schedule.
