The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises the public that electrical issues experienced by the Barbados Light & Power Company(BL&PC) at the Alleynedale station have been resolved and pumping has resumed at the facility.

However, while this station is back online, it did in turn impact levels at Half Acre and Lamberts and it will take some time for these systems to be recharged.

As a result, customers in some St. Peter and St. Lucy areas may continue to experience outages and low pressure today, Friday, October 4.

Meanwhile, levels at the Apes Hill and Golden Ridge Reservoirs have improved and pumping has resumed from these facilities, albeit at a reduced flow.

BWA’s tanker crews will continue to assist customers in affected districts as a temporary measure. The Barbados Water Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
