The Urban Development Commission, in association with the International Action Network on Small Arms, will host a seminar on Gun Control in the Lecture Theatre, First Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, tomorrow, Thursday, May 13, from 9:00 a.m.
The seminar, is being held as part of events to commemorate the Global Week of Action against Gun Violence.?? It will address a number of issues pertaining to gun licensing and the control and care of firearms and is designed to make persons aware of the necessary requirements to ensure their protection from the arms trade.
Resource persons will include Director of (UDC), Derek Alleyne, UNDP Spokesperson on Poverty and Peace, Aja, and two officers from the Royal Barbados Police Force.
