Matters pertaining to the training and equipment needs of the Royal Barbados Police Force and how that organisation could be enhanced were discussed when a United States (US) delegation paid a courtesy call on Attorney General, Adriel Brathwaite, earlier this week.

Suggestions on how Barbados could strengthen its border security were also advanced during the visit, which was led by US Ambassador, Linda  Taglialatela, and included International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Chief, Jeannette Juricic; and Supervisory Programme Manager with the US Customs and Border Protection, Saurabh Bhatt.

The parties held frank discussions about a range of issues, after which Minister Brathwaite and Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Attorney General, Yvette Goddard, gave the assurance that the necessary follow-ups would be done.
