The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Immunisation Unit has advised that vaccination sites will re-open from tomorrow, Tuesday, July 6.

The Unit will be holding open days for the rest of the week for persons whose appointments were interrupted last week by the passage of Hurricane Elsa and for anyone who has passed the recommended eight-week time period for the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The open days will begin on Tuesday at the Sandals Conference Centre, Maxwell, Christ Church; Building No. 2, Harbour Industrial Park, St. Michael; St. Philip Polyclinic, Six Cross Roads, St. Philip; and Sharon Moravian Church Hall, St. Thomas.

On Wednesday, July 7, the locations will be the Masonic Centre, Salters, St. George; Building No.2, Harbour Industrial Park; St. Philip Polyclinic; the Art Gallery, Queen’s Park, St. Michael; and the Sharon Moravian Church Hall.

The venues for the open day on Thursday, July 8, are Sandals Conference Centre; Building No.2, Harbour Industrial Park; St. Philip Polyclinic; the Art Gallery in Queen’s Park; and Sharon Moravian Church Hall.

The open days will conclude on, Friday, July 9, at Building No.2, Harbour Industrial Park; the Art Gallery in Queen’s Park; Sharon Moravian Church Hall; and the Masonic Centre.

All sites run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The Unit is also informing those persons who were scheduled to receive their second doses at Solidarity House, Harmony Hall, St. Michael, last Saturday, that they will be able to receive their vaccines this Saturday, July 10, at the same location.

Persons are reminded that it is not the Ministry’s policy to mix different vaccines and they will receive the same vaccine for the second dose that they were given for the first.
