The VAT Division has advised the public that effective Tuesday, Nov 1, all persons filing VAT returns will be required to do so online, using the VAT and Excise Tax Administration System, (VETAS).????

The department has also advised that it would no longer be mailing out tax returns from November. ??There will now be available online by logging on to https://evetas.customs.gov.bb/.?? Taxpayers are then prompted to click on the link "not a user request an electronic signature", follow the onscreen instructions, and create an electronic signature which is also their password.

To access VETAS, taxpayers must provide the VAT Division with a valid e-mail address to which they will receive a confirmation message once it has been entered into the VETAS System.

Taxpayers are also reminded that when making a payment to the VAT Division, they must present an Electronic Payment Advice (EPA) to the cashier, which is necessary for the receipt and processing of payments in VETAS.?? The EPA is only valid for 24 hours.

Payments may still be made at the VAT Division, Third Floor, Weymouth Corporate Centre, Roebuck Street, St. Michael, on or before the due date.?? Payments received after the due date will incur a penalty and interest.
