In observance of Love Safely Week, February 14 to 19, the Ministry of Health will conduct voluntary counselling and testing (VCT), at select venues.

VCT begins on Monday, February 15, when, in association with the United Gays and Lesbians Against AIDS, Barbados (UGLAAB), the Ministry’s team will be in St. Matthias church yard, in Christ Church, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

On Thursday, February 18, the exercise will be undertaken at two venues, namely the Barbados Community College and the Warrens Office Complex.?? VCT providers will be at the former, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the latter from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The following day, Friday, February 19, the Ministry’s mobile unit will shift into gear during the night from 10:00 p.m. ??This will see VCT being provided in various night spots until 4:00 a.m. the next day.

Voluntary counselling and testing will culminate on Saturday, February 20 with the mobile unit again making random stops at night spots, from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.

Members of the public, who have not yet been tested, are especially encouraged to visit the venues for VCT, or look out for the mobile bus during Love Safely Week.
