The Ministry of Health’s Vector Control Unit will be hosting an Open Day tomorrow, Wednesday September 1, in Jubilee Gardens, Bridgetown. ??The event has been planned as part of the Unit’s mandate to educate Barbadians about vectors and the diseases they carry.

Staff from that department will be on hand from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to inform members of the public about the operations and management of the Unit; the fogging programme; the use of bait stations; the use of the Black Lamp; the Ovi-trap mosquito programme at the Ports of Entry; the management and operations of the Graeme Hall Swamp; among other topics.

All visitors to the Open Day will receive free rodent bait.??
