The Comptroller of Customs has advised registrants that technical problems are currently being experienced with the Value Added Tax (VAT) and Excise Tax Administration System (VETAS), and this is preventing external users from accessing the system.??

As a result, all returns must be filed on paper until further notice.??

Registrants who are required to file their VAT returns in November are asked to submit them in hard copy to the VAT Division, 3rd Floor, Weymouth Corporate Centre, on or before November 21.?? Blank return forms may be obtained from the VAT Division, the Customs and Excise Department Headquarters, 2nd Floor West Wing, Warrens Office Complex or Customer Service, Inland Revenue Department, Ground Floor, Treasury Building.
