A six-member delegation from the People’s Liberation Army of the People’s Republic of China arrived in Barbados earlier today for a two-day visit, hosted by the Barbados Defence Force (BDF).
The trip is designed to further develop relations between the Governments, people and armed forces of the two countries.??????
During the officers’ stay, it is expected that an agreement will be signed for the provision of military aid to Barbados. While here, the delegation, headed by Rear Admiral Guan Youfei, will have talks with the BDF’s Chief Of Staff, Colonel Alvin Quintyne, and?? tour the HMBS Pelican, tomorrow, Friday, November 13.
Chinese Ambassador, Wei Qiang, will accompany the delegation to all events.
