Members of the public will once again be allowed to visit their loved ones at the St. Philip District Hospital.

The Ministry of Health has advised that from tomorrow, Friday, October 29, the ban on visits to all wards at that institution will be lifted.??

According to Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Joy St. John, "no new cases related to the outbreak of influenza- like illness have been reported in the last five days and the situation has returned to normal".

??The Ministry of Health has expressed gratitude to the public for its cooperation and understanding during the past few weeks.??

Visits to the St. Philip District Hospital were suspended earlier this month following an increase in cases of an influenza-like illness.??lbayley@barbados.gov.bb
