There will be a town hall meeting this Sunday, June 30, at 6:30 p.m., at the Lester Vaughan School, to discuss Vision 2020: We Gatherin’, and how the residents of St. Thomas can play a part.

It is being hosted by the Vision 2020: Project Implementation Unit (PIU), Office of the Prime Minister, in association with the St. Thomas Parish Organizing Committee for Vision 2020: We Gatherin’.

The residents will get an opportunity to share their ideas and vision, as the PIU seeks to identify projects and activities to be undertaken for We Gatherin’, which is the flagship project of Vision 2020.

During the year-long Vision 2020 programme, which starts next January, Barbadians, at home and abroad, will be encouraged to invest, contribute and participate in this country’s development.

Its objectives include rebuilding the community spirit; celebrating the traditional Barbadian way of life and providing an opportunity to showcase the uniqueness, talent and skills of Barbadians.
