The Ministry of Environment and National Beautification is encouraging members of the public to wear green on Fridays, starting on May 31, as part of Environment Month 2019 activities.

Environment Month is annually celebrated in June and there are a number of events planned by the Ministry, its departments and stakeholders.

This year, activities will be centred around the theme: Living Sustainably Is…Thinking Circular,… Repair Don’t Just Replace.

To help celebrate and highlight the importance of the environment to Barbados’ everyday existence, school children, Government officers, and the public are encouraged to wear green T-shirts, green ribbons or green articles of clothing every Friday throughout June.
