Public officers will soon learn about the protection of internet-connected systems when the Learning and Development Directorate hosts a Webinar on Cybersecurity and You.

It will be held on Wednesday, June 10, via Zoom, and the presenter will be Assistant Coordinator of the Telecommunications Unit, Captain Gale Morgan.

She is expected to discuss What is cybercrime? Why is Cybersecurity Important? The role of Cybersecurity in the Public Service, Cyber Threats and How to Stay Safe Online.

The objectives of the webinar are to develop understanding of cyber security; identify the various categories of cybercrimes; and help public officers employ strategies to mitigate threats and prevent cybercrime attacks.

Those persons interested in participating in the webinar should complete and submit the online registration by Monday, June 8, or email queries to LD@mps.gov.bb.  Details for joining the webinar will be forwarded by Tuesday, June 9.
