Public officers will soon get an opportunity to learn the rudiments of the Barbados Data Protection Act (BDPA), 2019-29.

The Learning and Development Directorate of the Ministry of the Public Service, in partnership with the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Smart Technology, will host a webinar on Thursday, January 27, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The deadline for registration for the webinar has been extended to Monday, January 24.

In addition to explaining the fundamentals of the BDPA, the presenter will discuss what the legislation means for ministries, departments and agencies; explain the role of the Data Protection Commission; and data protection and working remotely.
