The National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA) will continue its webinar series to mark Drug Awareness Month 2022 once weekly for the month of January.

The first of these webinars will be held today, Tuesday, January 4, on the topic: Life on the Gram: How Social Media Influences Children’s Behaviour in the 21st Century, beginning at 6:30 p.m. It will be hosted by Lecturer and Coordinator of the Bachelor of Arts Psychology Programme, University of the West Indies, Mia Jules. The second webinar will be held on Tuesday, January 11, and will focus on: What we do matters: The link between parenting styles and drug use, beginning at 6:30 p.m. It will be presented by Senior Probation Officer at the Barbados Probation Department, Diana Goodridge. The following Tuesday, January 18, a representative from the Substance Abuse Foundation will present on the topic: Who’s the boss? The final webinar for the month comes off on Monday, January 25, at 10:30 a.m., and will focus on the topic: Adverse childhood experiences: Connecting childhood trauma and addiction.
