The Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA). (FP)

Visitors departing the island on scheduled flights for February 20 and 21 will not be affected by the upcoming imposed weekend curfew.

Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Senator Lisa Cummins, has indicated that visitors who are scheduled to leave the island on Saturday, February 20, and Sunday, February 21, will be able to leave their accommodation and travel to the airport to board their specific flight.

Minister Cummins noted that travellers, both inbound and outbound, will be required to use only designated COVID-19 approved taxis to go directly to or from the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA), and no stops are permitted along the way.

Approved taxi drivers who have emergency passes will be on hand to provide transportation to and from the airport.
