Minister of Culture, Stephen Lashley, has wished calypso tent manager and former Videographer of the Barbados Government Information Service, Peter Roy Byer, a speedy recovery.
Mr. Byer is currently a patient of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Mr. Lashley, accompanied by Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Cultural Foundation, Wayne Webster, conveyed his wishes personally when he visited the calypso tent manager recently.
He said: ???Mr. Byer has been making an outstanding contribution to the calypso art form over many years, in particular by keeping the Kingdom of the Super Gladiators alive as a key part of this commitment.
“Roy Byer is one of those committed calypso stalwarts who have made a difference to the development of many of our treasured calypsonians. I wish him well,” the Minister stated.
