The Ministry of Health and Wellness and the National Task Force on Wellness have joined forces to mount a variety of fitness activities at the Seh We Hey Market Day, which takes place at the St. Lucy Parish Church yard on Saturday, January 25.

The day’s activities begin with a three-mile hike, starting at the church yard at 7:00 a.m. Parking for participants will be along the highway, at the photovoltaic plant and the Daryll Jordan Secondary School. Security and traffic arrangements are in place for the walk, which should end around 9:30 a.m.

This will be followed by a fitness demonstration at 10:00 a.m. by members of the Barbados Defence Force as well as a series of fitness challenges, including push-ups, spin, planks and skipping. A road tennis competition starts at 10:30 a.m. and a healthy food demonstration takes place at 11:00 a.m.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bostic, will address the gathering at 11:45 a.m.
