The monthly hike, hosted by the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the National Task Force on Wellness, comes off this Saturday, December 21, starting at 3:00 p.m. from Skeete’s Bay, St. Philip.

The hike will proceed along the rugged coastline, pass Bell Point to Conset Bay through the narrow path known as Conset Cutting.  Hikers will then make their way back to Skeete’s Bay under the hillside of St. Mark’s Church.

This hike is suitable for children, adults and elderly persons who are still agile. First-timers should be reasonably fit.

Persons who wish to participate should bring sufficient drinking water and a snack to stay hydrated and energized.  Hikers are also advised to wear comfortable enclosed shoes that won’t cause sliding, a hat, long pants and a long sleeved cotton shirt, if possible. Sun screen and sunglasses are recommended.

The free event is held under the theme Barbados Moves! Let’s Get Moving!
