The monthly hike, hosted by the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the National Task Force on Wellness, comes off on Saturday, July 20, starting at Bathsheba Community Centre, St. Joseph, at 3:30 p.m.

The four-mile trek is expected to last two hours.  Hikers will proceed along the coast through Tent Bay, passing Three Boys’ Rock to Martin’s Bay.  They will then turn inland and pass through St. Margaret’s, on to Foster Hall, Andromeda Gardens and back to the community centre.

The hike, which includes some hills, is classified as intermediate in terms of difficulty, and is suitable for children as well as elderly persons who are still agile.

Interested persons should bring drinking water and a snack.  They are advised to wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, hats and comfortable enclosed shoes. Sunscreen and sunglasses are also recommended.

The monthly hike, under the theme Barbados Moves! Let’s Get Moving! is a free event.
