Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Richard Sealy, is predicting a bumper winter tourism season ??? a much needed boost for the island???s number one income generating sector.
He expressed this optimism following a parade from Jubilee Gardens through Broad Street that ended with a mini concert at Heroes??? Square, The City, with a Royal Police Force Band Concert.
The Minister said: ???All the reports reaching me indicate that we have good reason to be optimistic about improvements in long-stay arrivals and also for increased benefits to the cruise sub-sector.
So, we are quite happy going into the winter season and will continue to work hard to ensure that we can make it through all the challenges.???
