Some 24 persons left the island earlier this week to start work in the hospitality sector at The Rosseau, AJW Marriott in Ontario, Canada.

According to Senior Labour Officer at the National Employment Bureau (NEB) Valerie Quintyne, 14 persons left via West Jet on Monday, May16, while another 10 left on Wednesday, May 18.??

She added that this hotel was new to their overseas work programme and that some 70 persons in total were expected to work there in a number of areas as Spa Attendants, Housemen and Laundry Assistants among other capacities.

Persons are expected to work at the hotel from four to six months.?? (KRM/BGIS)
