Approximately 40 fourth and fifth form boys from secondary schools across the island will soon learn about issues relating to gender and violence when the Bureau of Gender Affairs hosts a one-day workshop.

It will be held next Monday, March 12, at Bagnall’s Point Gallery, Princess Alice Highway, St. Michael, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

They will hear from the Barbados Youth Development Council’s Danny Babb, who will speak on youth and violence; the Barbados Family Planning Association’s Anderson Langdon, who will discuss gender and gender-based violence; while the Bureau’s Nalita Gajadhar, will address gender and social constructs. Shawn Springer will examine HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence.
