As part of its activities to mark World Intellectual Property (IP) Day, the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO) will hold an open day, tomorrow, Thursday, April 26, at its Baobab Tower office in Warrens, St. Michael. The event, which starts at 9:30 a.m., will feature displays by women in innovation and creativity.

This will be followed by a panel discussion at 2:00 p.m. on the theme: Powering Change: Women in Innovation and Creativity, Barbados Success Stories. Prior to the start of the discussion, there will be a cultural presentation by Dancin’ Africa.

Panellists will include Ophthalmologist, Dr. Kim Jebodhsingh; Lecturer, University of the West Indies, Ayanna Young-Marshall; and Manager, Design, Barbados Investment and Development Corporation, Stella Hackett.

Attorney-at-Law, Mark Hope, is also expected to give a presentation on anti-counterfeiting measures. The public is invited to attend.
